Pop-Up Art Show: Jillian Bailey & (the late) Brad Pearson

Join us at Spirit of Grace Church (413 West Ave.) in downtown Holdrege for our first pop-up gallery, featuring local artists Jillian Bailey and (the late) Brad Pearson.

The exhibit is open on Tuesdays and Fridays in July, between 8am - 4:30pm. Official gallery opening is Thursday, July 11 from 5-7pm; learn more here.


About Jillian Bailey

As a 2023 Holdrege graduate, Jillian Bailey is pursuing a career in digital illustration. She began online classes as a high school senior through the CG Spectrum Art Academy. The art on display is part of the portfolio being developed through her classes. At a young age, Jillian has been fascinated with art. Throughout her earlier school years, she had created artworks that had helped her get into the National Art Honor Society later on in high school. Currently, Jillian has had clients seeking her out for commissions. Some most notable projects being: Holdrege High School’s football senior banner, Happy Hollow Club’s 100th Anniversary logo, and Twin Dragons Martial Arts’ logo.


About Brad Pearson

Brad is a self-taught artist. He began practicing his skills on classmates papers and notebooks. Not always appreciated by the recipients. (Class of 1963) He also practiced on ivory soap in Scouts. In 1983, he moved on to the bronze medium.

During his artistic career, he included Line drawings both pencil and ink. In 1984 Brad drew 11 pictures for the First National Bank’s Calendar for their 100th year celebration. You will also find his work displayed in water colors and pastels.

Brad has collectors of his work in over 30 states and in Scotland.

Holdrege is privileged to have several of the sculptures: “Apple of My Eye,” “The Caddy,” “Pollyline,” “First Tee,” and “Handout.”
